Born in Santo Domingo, the birthplace of bachata, Carlos built his dance foundation through folkloric training and the Dominican Republic’s National Ballet School. After moving to Canada, he developed a successful international career as a fitness instructor, Zumba® Instructor, and Zumba® Jammer, sharing his choreography and authentic bachata style with ZIN™ members worldwide. Known worldwide as El Bachatu, he has inspired thousands across the globe with his authentic movement, charisma, and unique bachata style.
